Atualmente, a Dor é capaz de ser pelo menos colocada “numa escala de 1 a 10″….de nenhuma dor (0) a insuportável (10!)
Más os meninos que têm hoje 15 anos ..não enfrentam (que bom por um lado) as dores crônicas que os veteranos na hemofilia, os da década de 50 e 60, enfrentam.
Diferenças devidas ás melhoras no tratamento e nas condições de rehabilitação pós-hemorrágicas através da fisioterapia!

These are their TIPS TO COPE WITH PAIN :
1. As pain is a sign, paying attention as quick as possible is very important (start with cooling the area, consulting, taking the first shot of factor.., resting the member affected)
2. If it continues , don´t give attention to the painful sensation, don´t “feed” it with lamentations, curses and hatred
3. Breath deeply, it seems so much cliché, but it really works! and think about good things, remember funny stuff,chat with friends to change the focus. Play video games (the ones you are good at!!! don´t increase the stress)
Eis as dicas dadas por aqueles que sentem DOR crônica ou aguda (devido a um sangramento):
1. a dor é um sinal: tome as providências rapidamente (gelo, fator, repouso, consulta….)
2. depois das providências, NÃO dê “bola” a dor, não “ALIMENTE” a dor pensando nela, se queixando dela, odiando- a!
3. Respire e escolhe fazer OUTRA COISA (jogar um video game, contar ou conversar, lembrar coisas divertidas…)

1) Launching IN-HEMOACTION flash cards, 2026 updated version where I added new topics like Inhibitors and novel treatments, physiotherapy and a some playful activities like video games!
2) HERO (Hemophilia Experiences Results and Opportunities) sponsored by Novo Nordisk since 2009-2014 Done !exploring through qualitative and quantitative analysis the psychosocial issues involving People with hemophilia, their carers and the health professionals in the treatment process.
2) P-TET (Pediatric Thrombosis Educational Tool) , for kids on anti-coagulant treatment...inspired on IN-HEMOACTION flashcards success.
3) I am a co-author along with psychologist Irene Fuchs and Edward Kuebler of a booklet called "Communication, love and sexuality for people with hemophilia, carriers and family"
4) Done: systematic review for the Cochrane Collaboration :"psychological interventions for people with hemophilia and their families"
5) Actually I counsel people who wants to perform as competition level athlete and collaborate with them seeking wellness and goals
On a more personal level I have 3 three great not anymore children :) Danaê 35, Rubi 29 and Iggy 27 and i am since 2019 a pole sport athlete at a national and international level. I love it! also To walk and look for shells on a beach and discovering deserts...:)
