When I took my 3 children (Da, 18..Rubi 12 and Iggy 9) in January to see this film…i must confess that the first 10 minutes were a torment..i found myself critisizing and mubbling that I was going to endure for an hour ! but , i remember looking at the 3 faces of my beloved and they were paying attention….!so, I said hey frederica what ‘s happening to you? you have always liked and even studied Vampires, blood symbolism…
give yourself a chance and WATCH! And the story is about Loving, caring in an era where sex is sold as the first thing you should do, or know about ….in the story “making” love is a construction of keeping a distance where you can truly see who is in front of you and WAIT for the right moment to give yourself, your body and soul to someone.
The vampire, symbol of sucking your life away to survive (blood-soul), is aware of his shadow, and he prefers to avoid her first, and then she wants to face him, and they HAVE TO TALK.
The beauty of this movie is to show young people (and older ones 🙂 that we can rescue our inner pure teen and enjoy all the sensuality that exist in holding hands, writing a poem, stroke a face, kiss a hand which are
gestures that are forgotten. I loved the message , i saw my adolescence and i realized that these adolescents of today LOVED the movie too!!
so, these values of respect, caring, sensuality and generosity are what they want for their lives…
IMAGINATION IS WHERE YOU CAN RENEW YOURSELF
