On Tuesday I found myself gathered with 17 committed people in learning and sharing their experiences and doubts about psychosocial aspects in hemophilia.
The first workshop for Social “care agents” went very well.…the participants were parents of young people with hemophilia, social workers, nurses interested in emotional issues for patients and families, physiotherapist and other active members of the Hemophilia Society of Amman…the mixture helped me to have a good view of what their concerns are in the health care situation in Jordania.
The group in the Amman society is strong, I could feel during the days the passion of the board to make the necessary steps to improve the care and awareness of their members towards a better understanding and coping with hemophilia! BRAVO 🙂 to Mrs Asia and her husband Mr. Dr Arafat who are the pillars of that movement but also give SPACE and INCENTIVATION to any other professional or parent interested in helping and promoting their mission.

2) HERO (Hemophilia Experiences Results and Opportunities) sponsored by Novo Nordisk since 2009-2014 Done !exploring through qualitative and quantitative analysis the psychosocial issues involving People with hemophilia, their carers and the health professionals in the treatment process.
2) P-TET (Pediatric Thrombosis Educational Tool) , for kids on anti-coagulant treatment...inspired on IN-HEMOACTION flashcards success.
3) I am a co-author along with psychologist Irene Fuchs and Edward Kuebler of a booklet called "Communication, love and sexuality for people with hemophilia, carriers and family"
4) Done: systematic review for the Cochrane Collaboration :"psychological interventions for people with hemophilia and their families"
5) Actually I counsel people who wants to perform as competition level athlete and collaborate with them seeking wellness and goals
On a more personal level I have 3 three great not anymore children :) Danaê 35, Rubi 29 and Iggy 27 and i am since 2019 a pole sport athlete at a national and international level. I love it! also To walk and look for shells on a beach and discovering deserts...:)
